Aggressive laughter echoes down a crowded college hallway.)NARRATOR (V.O.)Minseo was just a stubbornly ordinary student trying to survive the real world.(CUT TO: Arrogant bullies shoving Minseo against a locker, throwing his books to the floor.)BULLY(Smirking)Watch where you're going, charity case.(CUT TO: A cozy cafe. Minseo’s fiercely loyal best friend slams down an iced coffee, looking furious.)BEST FRIENDThey do that again, and I’m breaking their noses. You can't keep taking shortcuts through dark alleys just to avoid them, Minseo!(CUT TO: Nighttime. A heavy fog rolls in as Minseo walks home alone, taking that exact dark shortcut.)NARRATOR (V.O.)But running away from human monsters... would lead him straight into the territory of a real one.(SOUNDBITE: A sudden, unnatural wind howls. The alley floor completely gives way, swallowing Minseo into a dark, bottomless abyss.)(CUT TO: Minseo crashing onto a cold stone floor in a massive, gothic library.
